NyasaSafaris offers carefully curated safari experiences that require advance planning and non-recoverable payments to third-party providers such as lodges, national parks, and transportation companies. To ensure the smooth operation of our services, all bookings are subject to the terms and conditions outlined below.
1. All Sales Are Final
All bookings made with NyasaSafaris are non-refundable and non-transferable. Once payment is made, it is considered final. Refunds will not be issued under any of the following circumstances:
- Cancellations initiated by the client
- No-shows
- Delayed arrivals or early departures
- Missed flights or transportation connections
- Personal issues (e.g., illness, family emergencies, or travel document issues)
2. Deposit & Payment Terms
- A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm all bookings unless full payment is made online at the time of reservation.
- The remaining 70% balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the scheduled safari departure date.
- Failure to pay the remaining balance on time will result in automatic cancellation of the booking without refund.
3. Date Changes & Modifications
- No changes are allowed within 30 days of the scheduled safari date.
- Changes requested more than 30 days before departure may be considered on a case-by-case basis, subject to:
- Availability
- An administrative fee of USD $150 or equivalent in MWK
- Non-refundable status if later cancelled
4. Force Majeure (Unforeseen Circumstances)
NyasaSafaris is not liable for cancellations or service interruptions caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters (e.g., floods, storms)
- Political unrest or border closures
- Government-imposed restrictions
- Airline disruptions
- Public health emergencies or pandemics
In such events, refunds will not be issued. However, at our discretion, we may offer a credit voucher valid for up to 6 months, subject to rebooking fees and availability.
5. Third-Party Provider Costs
Any payments made to third-party service providers (e.g., hotels, parks, transport companies) are strictly non-refundable, even in the event of trip cancellation.
6. Refund Requests (Exception-Based)
Refunds will only be considered in cases of:
- Duplicate payments
- Verified transaction errors
To qualify, clients must:
- Submit a written refund request within 48 hours of the transaction
- Provide supporting documentation
- Allow up to 30 days for processing
Please note that banking and transaction fees are non-refundable.
7. Policy Acknowledgement
By making a payment to NyasaSafaris, you:
- Confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Refund and Returns Policy
- Waive the right to dispute charges through your bank or card issuer except as stated above
- Agree to resolve any concerns with NyasaSafaris directly and in good faith
8. Governing Law
This policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Malawi, including but not limited to the Consumer Protection Act and other relevant tourism and business regulations.
