Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all safari bookings, service usage, and interactions with NyasaSafaris (“the Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By booking with us, using our services, or making any payment, you agree to comply with these Terms.


1. Booking & Payment

  • A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm all bookings unless full payment is made online.
  • The remaining balance must be paid at least 30 days before the scheduled departure date.
  • Failure to pay the full balance on time may lead to automatic cancellation of the booking with no refund.

2. What’s Included in Your Safari

Unless otherwise specified, our safari packages typically include:

  • Accommodation as detailed in your itinerary
  • National park and wildlife reserve entry fees
  • All ground transportation during the safari
  • Services of professional and certified guides
  • Meals and drinks as stated in your booking confirmation

3. What’s Not Included

The following are not included unless clearly specified:

  • International or domestic airfares
  • Visa application fees or border charges
  • Personal travel insurance
  • Gratuities, souvenirs, and other personal purchases
  • Optional activities not listed in the itinerary

4. Cancellations & Booking Changes

  • All confirmed bookings are considered final and non-refundable, in line with our Refund Policy.
  • No refunds will be provided for no-shows, early departures, or missed activities resulting from client actions.
  • Booking changes made more than 30 days before the trip may be subject to an administrative fee of MWK 250,000 or equivalent to $150 USD, and are subject to availability.

5. Force Majeure

NyasaSafaris shall not be held liable for delays, cancellations, or changes arising from circumstances beyond our control, including:

  • Natural disasters (floods, cyclones, droughts, etc.)
  • Government regulations or political unrest
  • Health crises or epidemics
  • Airline strikes or transport disruptions
  • Border closures or denied entry

In such cases, we may offer a credit voucher valid for 6 months, subject to availability and rebooking terms.


6. Travel Documents & Insurance

  • It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that all travel documents, visas, and vaccination certificates are valid and current.
  • We highly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance covering health emergencies, cancellations, and evacuations.

7. Health & Safety

  • Guests are expected to ensure they are fit and healthy to participate in our safaris.
  • Please inform us at the time of booking of any medical conditions, allergies, or dietary restrictions, so we can make necessary arrangements.

8. Limitation of Liability

  • NyasaSafaris acts as a booking intermediary for lodges, airlines, and other third-party service providers.
  • We are not liable for injuries, delays, loss, or damages caused by third parties.
  • Our maximum liability shall not exceed the total amount paid for the booking.

9. Guest Conduct

We reserve the right to refuse service or remove any guest from a tour without refund if they:

  • Engage in disruptive, offensive, or abusive behavior
  • Endanger staff, other guests, or wildlife
  • Violate Malawian laws or national park regulations

10. Intellectual Property

All content on our website—including logos, photos, descriptions, and designs—is the intellectual property of NyasaSafaris and may not be used or reproduced without our written permission.


11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Malawi. Any disputes shall fall under the jurisdiction of Malawian courts.
